    ITALIA 2162 is a labor of love, built on the creativity, passion, and skill of human artists. Basically, all visuals, animations, and designs were crafted by hand, reflecting our deep respect for the artistry of our team.

    Is then ITALIA 2162 100% AI-free? The final feature film will be entirely AI-free. However, due to very limited resources while producing the first teaser, we used AI tools for minor elements, such as background posters attached to street walls or distant billboards in cityscapes, but only as starting points. These elements were then modified by our artists, using AI solely as a tool and never as a replacement for creativity.

    We strongly oppose the trend of relying entirely on AI to create images, animations, or narratives, as such practices undermine the value and uniqueness of human artistry. By choosing a predominantly handcrafted approach, we aim to honor the artistic community and celebrate the irreplaceable contributions of human creativity.

    Lastly, please note that English is not our mother tongue. While every word written comes from our hearts, it is grammatically refined by AI to ensure clarity and proper expression.

ITALIA 2162 is created, produced, and directed by Nicola Piovesan (Venice, 1979) through his company, Chaosmonger Studio, with the support of a talented team of Italian freelancers spread across the globe.

This is not Nicola’s first venture into animation. In 2016, he won the prestigious Italian Silver Ribbon (Nastro d’Argento) with the short film/web series Life Sucks but at Least I’ve Got Elbows. Three years later, he entered the competition again as one of the five finalists with the short film Robot Will Protect You, which shares a similar visual style and a futuristic atmosphere with ITALIA 2162. Robot Will Protect You went on to win numerous awards at renowned film festivals worldwide, earning critical acclaim for its creativity.
